Approach
In building this Drupal website, I focused on modularity, accessibility, and scalability. The site was designed using a systematic approach that integrated content types, taxonomy, Views, and Twig templates to deliver a responsive, maintainable, and user-friendly experience.
Vision
The vision for this project was to create a modern, structured Drupal site that could serve as a template for content-rich websites. By combining robust content modeling with responsive theming, the site showcases best practices in accessibility, organization, and front-end design.
Challenges
Key challenges included migrating content from static HTML to Drupal without losing structure or hierarchy, designing reusable theme components, and ensuring the site met WCAG/508 accessibility standards.
Problems
This project wasn’t just about creating a functional site—it was about solving complex CMS challenges. Content needed to be organized logically for editors and users, templates had to be flexible for multiple layouts, and performance needed to be optimized in a LAMP environment.
User-Centric
Every aspect of the site—from Twig templates to Views and responsive layouts—was built with the user in mind. The result is a Drupal website that balances functionality, accessibility, and aesthetics, providing a seamless experience for editors and visitors alike.
User Needs
The site was designed to meet the needs of both content editors and end users. Editors required clear content types and easy-to-manage layouts, while users needed intuitive navigation, accessibility, and responsive design across devices.
